ORGANIZATIONS AND ACTIVITIES
LAKESIDE LUTHERAN PRESCHOOL is participating in the Albertsons "Community Partners" program. There is no cost to get involved, but the preschool will benefit greatly with your help. You can stop by the church office and pick up a "Community Partners" key tag. Each time you shop at Albertsons, the preschool will earn 1% of your shopping each time you scan your card.
AUDIO MINISTRY - We record the Sanctuary Services on cassette tapes and CDs. If you would like a copy of this week's service or a previous service, or if you have a friend or homebound person who would benefit from this ministry, check with the Church Office 493-5102 ext. 2, or email: LLC@lakesidelutheran.net or see the sound room technician in the Audio room after the service.

YOUTH GROUP - TEENLIFE (7th - 12th grades) - All Jr. & Sr. High students and their friends are invited to join us. Teen Life will be focusing on "Growing in our faith and learning to recognize our gifts in order to serve God and His people as we celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ". Get ready! New things are in the works and exciting things are ahead.

CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS - Some may not be aware of the fact that we are helping our Lakeside Preschool by saving the labels of all Campbell Soup products. At the bottom of the label is the bar code, and this is what we need. When you cut it out, please try not to tear the bar code. With these labels, the Preschool is able to purchase classroom accessories, computers, games, science kits, physical education equipment, etc. There is a container for the labels on the right as you enter the Narthex and a list of the eligible products.
SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY - "Creation and Evolution" will resume on October 23rd at 9:15 am in the Christian Education room (formally the Youth Room).WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY- "Heroes of Faith" will begin October 26th at 9:00 am in Meyer Hall.
PRAISE BAND - Rehearsal Wednesdays October - May 8:15 - 9:15 pm in Sanctuary.

PRAYER CHAIN - The monthly Prayer Chair notifies members of the Prayer Circle by e-mail of Prayer Requests received from members and friends at Lakeside. Jesus Himself taught us to pray. Can you spare a few minutes each day to pray for fellow members and friends in need? If you would like to join your fellow members in this vital ministry, please call Jean Roehrs, 941-426-1563 or e-mail her at jeanroehrs@msn.com. If you have a prayer request you may notify the Monthly Prayer Chair or notify Jean. You may also record your request on the bottom portion of the Communion registration card and give to an usher or place it in the box next to the guest book in the Narthex.
SOCIAL CONCERNS COMMITTEE - Distribute Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to families in need. The Social Concerns Committee also collects and distributes food for the South County Food Pantry. The need is great. Staples for 2011 are: soups, canned fruit, and fruit juices, pasta, cereal, tuna, powdered milk, peanut butter, jelly, pork and beans.
WOMEN'S GUILD
Stitch and Chatter meet on Tuesdays at 9:00 am in Youth Room.
Quilters will be meeting on 2nd and 4th Thursdays in Meyer Hall at 9:30 am. Does not meet during the summer.
Recycling Please continue to save your used cell phones. Please place them in the box above the food cabinet in the Narthex. Your contribution will go toward students studying to become a pastor.
